這兩項肯定都給了黃義達更多的信心，但是都比不上5月12日發生的四川汶川大地震給黃義達的衝擊。地震發生後，黃義達在家裡閉關看了好幾天的地震，慘重災情帶給他極大的震撼，發行『完整演出』專輯時，黃義達曾到四川成都去做宣傳，他說那邊有許多可愛又熱情的歌迷朋友，而且他自己的內地歌迷會許多幹部成員都是四川人，因此感性的他幾乎一看新聞就要落淚。黃義達強忍眼淚，積極參加賑災晚會，更即刻放下『寫給自己的歌』專輯的製作工作，悉心創作賑災歌曲；他3天2夜沒合眼把愛和希望的主題寫進歌裏，創作出「Voices of 512」這首歌曲，並連夜錄製完成。黃義達說，「在這種緊急的時刻，我們這些活著的人， 應該要做更有意義的事，並且靠著大家的努力，把愛傳遞出去！」

專輯中黃義達仍然不改他無法拘束的性格，大玩無法定義的黃義達音樂，像「I’m YiDA」就是一首非常不一樣的歌曲，整首歌長達10分鐘，開頭的英文口白將他的作品如「地下鐵」、「藍天」、「匿名的寶貝」等歌名巧妙串入，接著將他平常所思所想與對愛情的想法都放進歌裡，就如重複的那句「This is how I feel, the way I feel」，每一段歌詞都是黃義達的想法與感覺。之所以做這麼長的歌，義達說是因為「流行歌曲通常都只有4、5分鐘，常常我感覺才開始醞釀，歌就結束了，而這首歌想做完整的表達，因此就打破了長度的限制。」
「Set Me Free II」則是黃義達第一次嘗試有歌劇唱法的哥德式搖滾，歌裡的所有聲音都是黃義達一個人發出來的，包括歌劇男高音跟惡魔的笑聲、烏鴉的叫聲等，整體營造出有如西洋中世紀般的詭異異世界氛圍。搞笑的是，由於黃義達是在半夜自己錄音，錄完再自己聽，當他錄完惡魔的聲音之後，夜深人靜，聽著自己裝出的惡魔聲音，竟然覺得毛骨悚然！他笑說，人嚇人嚇死人，可是像我這樣自己嚇自己的應該也不多吧！

Just now went to Y2J 神木与瞳 autograph session at Bugis. Not much people compare to Liang Jing Ru's autograph session. They sing 3 song, 为你而活, 武装的蔷薇, 草戒指. Woo, not bad orh, got the power in their singing lor. Both of them also pretty and handsome. Jane's eyes very big. During the autograph, they both very friendly, 1st, they say hi to their fans one by one then help them sign then they say thanks to their fans. Not bad right. They never like hao lian or what. But their autograph session end very early, 8.25pm like that. Maybe not much people buying, but their album got alot of benefits, free ticket for tml's live concert at lunar asian bar, free poster and got hidden tracks. I found out that some people album cannot be signed, i think is because not the original album, so when they found out, the fans just walk away, like 2 to 3 walk away. This album also attract childrens wor, some mother or father also buy for them and go the autograph. LOL. Children nowadays listen to rock pop? LOL. Oh ya, those security guards are from Certs Cisco, saw their uniform. Wonder their job is this, to guards the fans and organise them in a order for the autograph? Like not bad neh. LOL. But I think Singapore restriction too many le, even autograph session, cannot go to the stage take photo, like not fair neh, whereas other countries like taiwan, can sia. Well, I think Y2J 神木与瞳, they are new band can have autograph session and album already not bad le as they from the 星光大道. (Pictures below. Reduce to 30+ out of 45. LOL) Their host is from 933FM, JiaFa. 3 people were ask to call up to play game, see who have 長氣. LOL. And the girl win among 2 guys. They recieved christmas present from the santa claus, present was a shirt that have a picture sketch of them. 草戒指. Yumi at 1st want to turn Jane round but in the end Jane turn Yumi around, she's so man sei. LOL.
